Breast Cancer Awareness Nails!

Sorry this is late but here are breast cancer awareness nails!

I painted my nails first with Sally Hansen nail growth miracle in Sweet Sunrise. I used my Sinful Colors Snow me White and my dotting tool to make the breast cancer symbol. After, I used Sephora's Only Gold for Me. I put a stroke of it on aluminum foil then got a tooth pick to pick up the sparkle and put it on the tip of my nail. Look at my other posted called, Glitter Nail Tips for more.

Leopard Print Nails

Today I did yet another leopard print nails! If you didn't notice I love leopard print... :)

Heres what you need:
Dotting tool
Nail polish for the base
Top coat
Black nail polish
White nail polish

What I did was painted my nails with Orly's It's not me, it's you. After it dried I used Sinful color's, Snow me white and a dotting tool to make 3-4 dots on each finger nail which will be the center of your leopard spots so put them in different places each time. Then I used Sally Hansen's Black Out to make the circles around the dots. Before you make the circles around you should know theres 3 kinds of "circles" you can do.
1st full circle
2nd half of the circle (o
3nd "parenthesis" around the circle so it looks like this (o)

$$$ saver!

Tuesday Tip!

Don't spend all that money on striper brushes (a striper brush is the thin brush used to make designs)!  I found they sell many different colors at the local dollar stores. This is a really good way to stock up on all the stripers and colors you ever wanted without paying more than a dollar for a bottle! I hope this saves you some $$$$$ :)<3

Here's a picture of the brush:

Starburst wrapper bracelet!

Hi! So I've been on instagram lately, if you don't know what that is, it's an app and you can share your pictures with people and it's a lot like tumblr I think. Well I've been seeing a lot of these starbursts bracelets and I really wanted one, but didn't know how to make one and how many wrappers I would need and that stuff. I watched this video and I thought this video was the best video I could find for you guys that helps you learn how to make one!

How to make a starburst wrapper bracelet!

With my wrist size, I used 32 starburst wrappers! And by the end of your bracelet your fingers will hurt from creasing and folding, well at least mine did!

Also the tricky part to the bracelet is closing it, I think the girl who made the how to tutorial above also did a video on how to close it. I found a website but I forgot what it was, which was also helpful and the last one I found but I don't know if it happens to everybody but the last one was loose so I just hot glued it so you couldn't see it on the outside.

Here's how mine came out!

Polka Dots

Hello! :) This is another simple nail design thats extremely, I repeat extremely easy to do! Actually anything is easy if you have the right tools!:)
so what I used:

1. Dotting tool, or check out my post where it tells you other alternatives to make one with things in your house!
2. Sinful colors, Snow Me White
3. Orly, Sterling Silver Rose
4. Sally hansen quick drying top coat
5. Scrap paper
6. Sparkly top coat of your choice (optional)

What I did was I painted 2 coats of Orly's Sterling Silver Rose on all of my fingers except my middle finger. I painted that one Snow Me White. After they were all dry, I used the biggest dotting tool I had, I got my paper and I dabbed it on the paper. I put my dotting tool in the blob and then dotted it on my finger. I dunked the dotting tool in once every dot, but depends how big and opaque you want it. With the other finger I painted just white I added a little sparkle with Sally Hansen's Glass Slipper, because who doesn't love a little sparkle?:) After, I just applied my fingers with my favorite fast drying top coat, hope you enjoy!:)

18k gold nail polish?!?!

Hey guys! So yesterday I went shopping and I went to Sephora and I saw this beautiful polish! What it said on it was made with 18k gold! I couldn't believe it, nail polish with gold in it?! There was a try me one so I tried it on, this is a top coat and has flakes of 18k gold in it! I was going to purchase it until I saw the price tag.... $30!!!!!!!!!! I was bummed but this is something on my wish list now:) I would recommend this to anybody who is into gold and sparkle as much as I am! And if you like the glitter and the color on my nails in the pictures below then check out my last post!

Heres the link to buy the nail polish, if your as crazy as me and will probably get it in the future!

Glitter nail tips:)

Hi every one! Today I painted my nails with Orly nail polish, called it's not me, its you. Then I used my glitter nail polish, Only Gold For Me by Sephora.

What you need for the glitter nail placement:

Aluminum foil
Toothpick
Glittery nail polish, use big/medium glitter pieces it will be easier to pick up with the toothpick

Step 1. Get the aluminum foil, and spread some glitter nail polish on the foil
Step 2. Get the toothpick and pick up one sparkle on the end of the toothpick
Step 3. Hold the toothpick with the sparkle over where you want it and just press down a little so it stays
Step 4. After you've made the design you want put a clear coat over it, I used Sally Hansens insta-dri anti-chip top coat and it dries it 30 seconds!

Enjoy!

Splatter paint nails

Hey guys! So today I did splatter paint nails! This is such a cool design and so simple! Heres what you'll need:
nail polish of your choice
coffee stirs, (the ones with holes cause some are closed)
nail polish remover
q-tips

Step 1. Paint a base coat of your choice
Step 2. Choose as many colors as you want to splatter on your nails
Step 3. Dab a big glob of nail polish on like a piece of paper, or plate
Step 4. Take the coffee stir, dab it in the nail polish then hold the coffee stir over your finger nail and blow, it wont work if you dont have enough nail polish so if this happens just add more nail polish to the blob
Step 5. Put on a top coat, I use the sally hansen xtreme wear one!

Easy saran wrap nails

Hello! Today I did saran wrap nails, this looks so hard to do and kinda looks like marbling but its really easy!

What you will need:
Saran wrap, you should cut the saran wrap into 10 pieces
nail polish of your choice
q-tips
nail polish remover

First paint the base color what ever you want it to be, second let it completely dry and then paint right over you just put down. Crumple the saran wrap so it has ridges in it, then dab it onto your nail, making a cool marbling design on your nail. You'll probably get nail polish on your skin while dabbing, so use the q-tip and nail polish remover to wipe it off.

Enjoy!

Water marble nails

Hey guys! So today I did water marbling, it took me a couple times to not make a total mess! This is also a really cool and unique idea! You'll get many compliments:) okay so here's what you need: toothpicks, nail polish remover, cotton balls, bowl of room temp water, tape and nail polishes of your choice! First I painted my nails all white, but you can paint them whatever color you want. After I painted my nails and let them dry I taped up the skin around my nail so when I put my finger in the nail polish it wont mane a total mess! Then I got the room temp water, now what you do is you put a drop of the nail polish in the water. It should spread out, then you keep putting dots of nail polish inside the circle you just made. You should do this pretty quick or else the nail polish gets stiff. After you put all the colors you want on it take the toothpick and make a design that you want. Now find a place in the nail polish thats your favorite and just stick your finger nail in it, hold it down until you take the toothpick and wipe up all of the nail polish left in the bowl. After you do that you can take your finger out to let it dry. Here's some picks of mine:)

Today I did another braid for you guys:)

And sorry for the TV in the back, we were watching We Bought A Zoo...

3 braided fishtails

Hey everyone! Today I did a braid. It may look confusing but it's really simple! All I did was separated her hair into three sections then tied two of them off with an elastic so I could work with one section at a time. I then fishtailed that section then did the rest. After that I just braided the fishtails together and tied it off with an elastic. Enjoy!

Very simple daisies!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't blogged for a while! But here's a really cute design for summer. On tv I saw the commercial for Marc Jacob's daisy fragrance and this inspired me to do daisies! So first I started off with 240 English Rose by rimmel london. I then dotted on the LA. Colors art deco in yellow with my dotting tool. Also with my dotting tool I used it to make the petals of the daisies in white by Kiss nail art. Enjoy!

Cheetah/Leopard print

Hey! So today I did another cheetah/leopard print design! If you don't know how to make the print you need to know 3 different types of circles that you can make (full circle, half circle, and a little bit more then half.) This is a really simple and cute design!:) For the design I used the white sinful colors as the background, I think it's snow me white, for the pink I used O.P.I's chapel of love (for the dots) and for the black I used sally hansen's hard as nails Xtreme wear in 28 black out. Enjoy!:)

Easter bunny and eggs design

This is an adorable design to do for Easter! Easter is soon and you can show your spirit by recreating this design. For the eggs you make what ever you want! Polka dots, plaid, sparkles etc. What I did for the eggs was just make an oval in the middle of my nails in white. For the bunny first I used white and painted a stripe on the bottom of my nail. With a striper I made 2 lines going up for the ears, and for the eyes I just used a dotting tool, this is the same for the nose and pink of the ears.

Mustache nails

Here's a cute and fun design that I saw on YouTube by Cutepolish.

Saturday, March 24, 2012

This is a fishtail braid, I have bangs so this is an easy way to get it out of your face! I took a pretty big chunk of hair on the side where my bangs are and I fish tailed that part of my hair and then I gathered up all my hair and put it in a pony tail.

This post is irrelevant but show your support for Kony 2012 by wearing a shirt and making him infamous! I hope you participate in Cover the Night on April 20th if you don't know who Kony is or what Cover the Night is check out this YouTube video!

I know how most designs are easier to use a dotting tool to make perfect circles but you don't need to go out and buy some! You can use a bobby pin as an alternative or even the end of a pin like the one below. You can even use your finger tips!

This design I did when I was bored haha.

This is an easy design to do! All I did was I painted my nails with my O.P.I Chapel of Love and then I just used this cheap thin tip brush to dot on yellow dots on top of the base. After I did that I got a white thin tip brush and I dotted it right on top of the yellow I just did. This is an easy design if you have a steady hand!

Saturday, March 3, 2012

I just found this! It's this at home gel nail kit. It's pretty pricey but if you go out to get your nails done a lot I think its worth the money cause there's like 25 uses I think... If you haven't seen it, the kit comes with a UV lamp and a color. I'm hoping I'm going to get this soon so I can make a tutorial on it! By the way I think it costs like $60

This is another fun leopard design! I only did 3 nails because I messed up on the others haha. What I used was the Chapel of Love by O.P.I and I used the Kiss nail art paint in the black and silver (I just bought them at the dollar store)

Today is a cute hairstyle for any occasion. It's very easy and the things you will need is:
Curling Iron
Hair spray
Bobby Pins
All I did was I curled my hair, put it up in a high pony tail and then I twisted my bangs and secured them back with a couple bobby pins:) Better yet this only took me like 15 minutes!

It's almost Valentine's day! :) Valentine's day is just a day to share your love with all the people you care about:) So a way to share your love is making cookies!

These are EXTREMELY easy cookies to make and I loveeeee them! These are the Pillsbury Ready To Bake heart sugar cookies:) All you have to do is put them on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for approx. 10 mins and then there done!
(By the way if anybody was wondering I got my shirt at Charlotte Russe)

Has anybody seen this braid before?! I believe it's called the mermaid braid. I saw this on tumblr, if you haven't heard of tumblr it's like a blogging site too. Also I just learned how to do this hairstyle! I'm going to try it out on my friend later, crossing my fingers it comes out beautiful!

So the post that I had which was my favorite nail polishes, I have changed my mind about this one. I've used it many times since I got it and I HATE it. The cons are you have to put like 3 coats on before it's opaque, it chips extremely easily, it only lasts for like 3 days and it takes forever to dry! The only pros of it is cheap, that's it! I don't recommend buying it, maybe it's just the one I got that's bad? but I think all of them are like this.
